ST. JOSEPH’S HEALTH VASCULAR SERVICES

ST. JOSEPH’S HEALTH VASCULAR SERVICES

We have more experience performing a wider range of vascular services than any other hospital in the region.

The average human adult body contains more than 100,000 miles of blood vessels. Treating this complicated part of the body requires vascular surgeons to work with a multidisciplinary team that includes cardiac surgery, dialysis and support from major subspecialists such as nephrology and cardiology. Our collaborative approach makes us uniquely suited to meet virtually any challenge that arises in this complicated part of the body.

Although we are well versed in surgical techniques, we treat the majority of conditions non-operatively. From diagnosis to minimally invasive procedures leaving practically no scarring, to traditional surgeries, and long-term follow-up care, our team has more experience performing a full range of vascular services than any other hospital in the region.

VASCULAR HEALTH

WHY IS VASCULAR CARE IMPORTANT?

Vascular disease is one of the leading causes of death and disability in the United States.

Vascular health affects every system in the body, meaning that for every vascular procedure — from carotid stenting and ongoing hemodialysis grafting to major arterial bypass surgery and major arterial reconstruction — your specialist, treatment and recovery process matter. That’s why choosing the team that has the most experience with the full range of minimal to complex vascular procedures sets you up for a shorter hospital stay, less scarring and a faster recovery. You can play a part in your vascular health by following these six tips for improving blood circulation:
